This was going through my head last night and I wrote it all down so I could post it today. It's not a plot bunny, more like a concept.

Meet the crew of Serenity:

Captain Mallory (Mal) Reynolds.
Her First Mate, Zack Washburne
The Pilot, and Zack's wife, Hova "Wash" Washburne
The Merc, a large amazon, Jane Cobb
The Mechanic, Kayne Frye
And the Male Companion that rents out one of the shuttles, Kiran Serra

This band of misfits, is joined by Sheppard Derry Book, a mysterious woman of God, who seems to know more about everything than anyone.

Serenity has also become the home and hiding place of Dr. Simone Tam, a brilliant surgeon that gave up a promising carreer in the Core to rescue her teenage brother, River, from an goverment facility that was experimenting on his brain.

My God...

So I finally watched Firefly & Serenity (out of order, because I mistook someone's comment of Serenity, the episode, being the prequel for Serenity, the movie).

And I've only one thing to say:

What took me so long?!?!?!?

Like it's any surprise to me that Joss is a genius.
