LOL, the opinions are certainly divided on this one. Half of the people I know who have seen it have absolutely hated it and the other half have absolutely loved it. I guess I must check it out and reach my own conclusion.
Well, I really love apocaliptic type movies (Day After Tomorrow, Independance Day, Deep Impact... etc) so this one was right up there in one of favorite movie categories.
Plus, I'm a big Tom Cruise fan, and even bigger Dakota Fanning fan.
The effects were awesome, though the end could have been explained just a tiny bit better.
I haven't read the book, which may be why some people disliked it (a la Lord of the Rings), but I certainly will now.
