So, the first interview went well. Very well. My resume actually impressed them, so I'm a happy little clam.

The interview ended up being in english (I'm in Puerto Rico, we speak Spanish here) since one of the mall managers (the position is for office administrator of the operating offices of one of the malls here) is American and apparently doesn't speak Spanish. It's all good, I didn't mind at all.

Mr. Sifontes, who is a client of my sister (she's a CPA, and got me the interview) said at the end, while he was walking me to the door that he was going to do his best since I'm his candidate!

Yay!

They called me late afternoon, so I would call today to arrange to take a test, some sort of logic exam. Apparently it's computer based, since Mr. Sifontes told me to call to see if the system was up and running.

So, a call back. That's good right?! ::dances some more::

I'm so happy!

I'm waiting now for Mr. Sifontes to recieve my message and call me back, he wasn't in yet when I called.

I just can't get over this. This is awesome.

Oh, no, SO SORRY! (My bad in explaining the situation). I don't live there. I just travel there a lot for work. I'll probably be there a lot later this summer and early fall, because we're going through a systems conversion, so my company (Popular Financial Holdings) is using the same as our parent company (Popular, Inc.)

I live in Newark, DE, but I was raised in Philadelphia, PA and work in New Jersey. I'd love to meet up with you when I'm there!

Here in the states, I'm like the Puerto Rico public relations person. I'm always trying to convince people to go there on vacation. The residents couldn't be nicer, the beaches are beautiful, the food is to die for (Café Valencia!), and of course there are the Coqui!

I've actually never been to Cafe Valencia, though I pass by it a lot. And yeah, we couldn't be nicer! ;-)

The Coquis are wonderful. We have a little community living in our patio (that's common in houses with big patios) and they lull me to sleep every night. I don't even notice them anymore (they sing constantly).
