I'm all teary and choked up.

And McCain's speech was very well delivered too.

Hey Joey! Haven't checked my LiveJournal in ages!! Just letting you know that I did not let my chance pass by and voted for Obama last week during early voting. I gotta say, every time I see the replay of his speech, even if it's just a fragment, I get all choked up. I also saw yesterday a video of Oprah crying during Obama's speech and made me cry. On thursday, the local news interviewed a group of older African-American ladies and they were talking about segregation and how many times they were denied basic services just because they were black when they where younger and many of them started crying when they talked about Obama's election as president. And ofcourse I started crying! It has been a very emotional week for everyone. Nevertheless, prop 8 passed in California, so that put a bit of a damper on the celebrations... :( Well, I'll ttyl *hugs*

I'm heard about Prop 8, and it pissed me off. One step forward, another one back, right?
