Coming home from work today was another experience. C/p'ed (edited) from my aim with Nikki just now, because there's no way i can write this up again.

Joey: *needs comfort hugs*
Nikki: *hugs tight*
Nikki: What is wrong?
Joey: I just saw a guy fly after being hit by a car
Nikki: O___O
Nikki: What the!?
Nikki: Oh dear god *hugs* ;_;
Joey: i'm home now, i'm ok
Nikki: But still... Man
Nikki: That is traumatizing..
Joey: i'm coming from work, and i see the car to my right stop, so i stop, not 3 feet from a guy crossing the street (4 lanes each way) illegally
Joey: he saw me stop and kept going only to be hit by the car coming on my left
Nikki: ...ouch
Joey: the guy flew and fell back to my lane, also a few feet away
Joey: it took about 5-10 seconds for my body to catch up with my brain to call 911
Joey: i'm just, glad, so very glad that God kept me from being the one to hit the guy.

O___O! OMG. *hugs tight* That is awful! No one ever wants to see stuff like that. ;3;

Oh my god, that IS traumatizing. You're pretty badass to have the presence of mind to call 911 so quick though.

Oh my God, that's horrible. *hugs* I had a similar experience Christmas Eve when a car bounced off one side of the highway into the guardrail in front of the car I was in, but I don't think there were any bad injuries. (It was one of those "I don't usually do this, but we are going to pray out loud RIGHT NOW in thanksgiving for not being hurt because that was SERIOUSLY CLOSE" things.)

*hugs* did you have to stick around to make a statement? Did the driver who hit him stick around? *hugs again* I'm sorry you had to see this, but am glad you're safe.
