I just called I. from the company, B.H., that interviewed/screened me to turn it down. I wasn't offered the job, but I was going to be heavily recommended.
I know it sounds dumb to turn down something that was probably going to be a sure thing, but I really really didn't want it. I'm not an accountant. I don't like accounting, even if I am good with numbers. It just didn't feel right and everyone (family & friends) were giving me the same advice: are you sure, do you want to get even deeper into accounting, are you willing to experiment, among others. And the answer to all was no.
So I'll stay here longer, but I think a bit calmer because I choose to.
I. from B.H. said that she'll keep me in mind for other positions that may come along in the areas I really like (Management & Human Resources), so I'm very glad this happpened because I got the opportunity to make a good impression on this (apparently) prestigious recruiting firm. That's always of the good.
Also, I've been thinking I need to get my Masters degree, and I'm seriously considering it to be in H.R. rather than a MBA. But bah.. school.... ugh. yuk.
