I really didn't think this was a big deal at first, but I'm worried now.  I don't want my browsing history recorded by third parties, lj, or anyone else besides me!

Loss of basic accounts only the tip of the ice-berg....

You think the strike is only about the loss of the basic accounts? Think again. There is more. Much, much more. You know what a beacon-program is? [profile] otherjoseph  made a very good informative post about the strike and why we do it.

LJ strike against loss of basic accounts, but most importantly.... against the beacon-program's tracking us...

EDIT: Now, I'm not asking people to strike.  I may not strike myself.  My day off?  Strike LJ?  And be bored to tears?  I don't think so.

But I think it's a good idea for everyone to be informed what it really means, and what TPTB behind LJ are doing to our community.
