... just a guilt trip post... I'm addicted to icons... I just bought the extra space... don't know why... it's not like i post that often... but... I have an addiction...

I'm over the guilt... now I'm having trouble uploading an animated icon. WHY? What do I have to do?

I saved it to my icons folder, and it won't upload.

Is LJ saying anything about why it won't upload? Does it exceed the filesize or is it bigger than 100x100? Those are the only reasons I can think of off the top of my head.

no, it just goes to 'page cannot be displayed' and when I refresh it's not there.

Are you noticing the diferent icon each post?

Okay, that could either be LJ or your computer. You may want to give it a few minutes and try again. It sounds like there's a problem transfering the data. (It could very well be LJ; sometimes it does the same thing to text posts.)

You might also want to check (and bookmark/friend) LiveJournal Status Report (http://status.livejournal.org/) and lj_maintenance to see if the cluster you're on is experiencing any problems/maintenance.
